Initiators of this musical style they call "Hipsurf", those 4 atypic musicians whose careers are as different as complementary, might it be among their personnal prospections, ranging from bands like FAYA DUB, SAYAG JAZZ MACHINE, GONG, LAST POETS, DAARA J, to artists like ARCHIE SHEPP, MAGIC MALIK, MAD PROFESSOR, RAVI SHANKAR, OMAR PENE, CLAUDE BARTHELEMY, JOHN GREAVES, ALTON ELLIS just to name few, seek for inspiration in the very roots of the SURF ROCK, HIP HOP or ELECTRO eras. From that improbable encoutering "EASTERN COWBOY", their new album, was born; it's all instrumental, sound track oriented, summed up by the final (11th track) "STRANGE MEETING" composition by new age U.S. guitarist BILL FRISELL that let us expect the better and the best for this new up and coming Paris based band
